SASSA is going to be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed regarding the high range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant quantity of read more clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office focused on service the area daily. The services level made for intervention ordeals a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it challenging to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra resources to enable the servicing of all customers and increase access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
